Privacy policy

Effective June 11, 2026 · Applies to the Klackety apps and klackety.com

The short version

Klackety has no accounts, no ads, and no analytics trackers. Your typing data stays on your device. The only things that ever leave it are an anonymous daily-challenge score and the purchase receipt your app store already processes.

What stays on your device

Your scores, run history, streaks, personal bests, ghost runs, and settings (sound pack, difficulty, reminders) are stored locally on your device. We cannot see them. Deleting the app deletes them.

Purchases

Klackety Pro is a one-time purchase processed entirely by Apple or Google. To restore purchases across reinstalls, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives a random app-generated identifier and the store receipt — never your name, email, or payment details.

The daily challenge

When you finish a daily challenge run, the app sends a randomly generated player ID, the date, and your score to our server so we can show you how you ranked against other players that day. This ID is created on your device, is not linked to you or your device identity, and resets if you reinstall the app. Scores older than a week are deleted.

Notifications

The daily reminder is scheduled locally on your device. There is no push server, and nothing about notifications is transmitted anywhere. You can turn the reminder off in the app or in your system settings at any time.

This website

klackety.com stores your quick-play scores and sound preference in your browser's local storage. We don't use analytics or advertising cookies.

Children

Klackety does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. There are no accounts, profiles, chats, or ads.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above. Material changes will be called out in the app's release notes.
